Abstract: Il padre della regista fu deportato dall'Egitto nel 1961. Si è sempre rifiutato di raccontare le sue esperienze nel Paese dove è nato e dove ha passato otto anni in una colonia penale sotto il reato di essere comunista. Claude Grunspan decide di partire sulle sue tracce, da Alessandria al Cairo e nel deserto libico dove venne eretta la colonia penale. Lungo la strada, incontra gli ex compagni del padre.
The director's father was deported from Egypt in 1961. He has always refused to recount his experiences in the country where he was born and where he spent eight years in a penal colony guilty of being a communist. Claude Grunspan decides to travel in his footsteps, from Alexandria to Cairo and into the Libyan desert of the penal colony. Along the way, she meets her father's former comrades.
