Abstract: "Se Dio ha fatto il paradiso, noi ci siamo già”. Così commenta Jimmi della Greta quando gli chiediamo perché è venuto a vivere al Podere La Greta, tra S. Godenzo e la sorgente dell’Acqua Cheta, in Toscana a pochi passi dal confine con l'Emilia. In mezzo ai boschi Jimmy ha messo su famiglia con la sua compagna, Simona. Hanno due figli, oramai adolescenti; vivono tutti e quattro nel bosco in armonia con la natura. Prima che arrivasse la strada che li collega al mondo (bisogna però percorrerla con un 4x4) facevano ogni giorno 9 km a piedi. Simona aveva paura dell’arrivo della strada perché avrebbe sicuramente spezzato quell’integrità naturale tra l’uomo e la foresta. Adesso però arriveranno 14 pale eoliche alte quanto un grattacielo di 20 piani (150 metri l’una). Cosa pensano di fare Jimmy e Simona? Forse dovranno rivedere quella scelta radicale che fecero insieme ventisette anni fa venendo a vivere tra lupi e capre.
"If God made paradise, we're already in it". That's what Jimmi della Greta says when we ask him why he came to live on the Podere "La Greta", between S. Godenzo and the Acqua Cheta spring, in Tuscany just a short distance from the border with Emilia. In the middle of the woods, Jimmy has started a family with his partner, Simona. They have two children, now in their teens, and all four of them live in the woods in harmony with nature. Before the road that connects them to the world came along (but you have to travel in a 4x4), they walked 9 km every day. Simona was afraid of the road's arrival because it would surely break the natural integrity between man and forest. Now, however, 14 wind turbines as tall as a 20-storey skyscraper (150 metres each) are coming. What do Jimmy and Simona plan to do? Perhaps they will have to reconsider the radical choice they made together 27 years ago when they came to live among wolves and goats.
