Abstract: La protagonista di questo film ha smesso di pregare molto tempo fa. A tredici anni è stata portata dalla nativa Turchia in Germania per sposare un cugino. La sua infanzia è finita così: è diventata "proprietà" di un marito che la tortura e la degrada. Ha infine deciso di fuggire, ma deve continuamente nascondersi. Condannata da entrambe le famiglie, non ha alcuna possibilità di condurre una vita normale, né come moglie né come divorziata. Questa storia individuale riflette le storie di molte altre ragazze e donne sottoposte a una legge patriarcale ancora applicata per tacito consenso nelle società multiculturali dell'Europa occidentale.
The protagonist of this film stopped praying a long time ago. At the age of thirteen, she was brought from her native Turkey to Germany to marry a cousin. This is how her childhood ended: she became 'property' of a husband who tortures and degrades her. She finally decided to run away, but has to hide constantly. Condemned by both families, she has no chance to lead a normal life, neither as a wife nor as a divorcee. This story of an individual reflects the stories of many other girls and women subjected to a patriarchal law still enforced by tacit consent in the multicultural societies of Western Europe.
