Abstract: Liam ha sette anni, il volto serio e gli occhi spalancati sul mondo. Le emozioni gli bloccano le parole in gola, facendolo balbettare. Il bambino assiste impotente alla rovina della propria famiglia con il padre operaio disoccupato, che diventa sempre pił antisemita, finendo per aderire al nascente movimento fascista.
