Abstract: In romaně Loli Kali Shuba č un cappotto rosso e nero, ma anche il modo con cui i bambini rom della Transcarpazia chiamano le coccinelle e il ritornello di una filastrocca. Una canzone registrata per caso vent’anni prima che diventa una specie di ossessione, un mistero affrontato tornando sui luoghi di quel vecchio film. E dopo vent’anni il mistero si svela in tutta la sua spiazzante bellezza. Questo film č un atto d’amore nei confronti delle esistenze ai margini e della poesia delle cose semplici come la capacitŕ di stupirsi per il volo di una coccinella.
In Romani language, Loli Kali Shuba means a red and black coat, but it’s also the nickname given by the Romani children of Trans-Carpathia to ladybirds, and the refrain of some kind of nursery rhyme. A song, recorded by chance twenty years ago, becomes some sort of obsession, a mystery to be solved by going back to the location of an old film. Twenty years later, the mystery is explained and its beauty uncovered. This film is an act of love towards marginal lives and the poetry of simple things such as the capacity of being surprised by a ladybird flying.
