Abstract: Hamdan è un militante palestinese che è stato rinchiuso in prigione per 15 anni. La sua storia rivive attraverso le sue parole pacate ma evocative. Quale è stata la sua esperienza? Come può il cinema restituirla? Sono le domande che attraversano un film che non vuole solo ricostruire una storia, ma indagare un sentire, l’esperienza di un passato radicale, la memoria di un vissuto che rimane impresso nei luoghi, nelle voci, nei volti.
Hamdan is a Palestinian militant who was jailed for 15 years. We discover his story through his own words. What was his experience? How can cinema represent it? These are the questions that underlie a film which not only intends to reconstruct a story, but also to investigate feelings, the experience of a radical past and the memories of past experiences that remain in places, voices and faces.
