Abstract: In un angusto appartamento di Atene, Amir e i suoi compagni attendono i documenti falsi che spalancheranno loro le porte dell’Europa. La condivisione di giochi e disperazioni, i contrasti e gli affetti, non sono solo dettagli di vita quotidiana ma note necessarie, uniche, nell’attesa sfiancante di un futuro ignoto, forse feroce. La Grecia, terra di confine e d’incertezza che dilata il senso di precarietà, non è in grado di arrestare i sogni e le aspettative di chi è costretto a farvi ‘scalo’.
In a narrow apartment in Athens, Amir and his comrades are waiting for the fake documents that will open the doors to Europe for them. They share games and despair, confrontations and affections: these are not only details of daily life but necessary, unique companions in the exhausting wait for an unknown, possibly cruel future. Greece, land of uncertainty amplifying the sense of precariousness, cannot stop the dreams and expectations of those who are forced to “stop over” there.
