Abstract: Nell’estrema periferia di una città tedesca, tra pecore di passaggio e una vecchia base militare sovietica trasformata in alloggi, dove gli autobus arrivano soltanto tre volte al giorno, Aya, Momo e Mustafa, tre bambini di famiglie rifugiate in Germania, trascorrono la loro estate. Tra libertà e costrizione, tra desideri di un futuro migliore e l’incertezza del presente, tra i giochi tra amici e la minaccia di essere rimpatriati in qualsiasi momento, questi bambini non possono fare altro che vivere in un tempo e in un mondo sospeso.
In the outskirts of a German town, between passing sheep and an old Soviet military base turned into a housing project, where the buses only come three times a day, Aya, Momo and Mustafa, three children of families who have taken refuge in Germany, spend their summer. Between freedom and restrictions, between desires for a better future and the uncertainty of the present, between play with friends and the threat of being repatriated at any time, these children could not do other than live in a suspended time and in an uncertain world.
