Abstract: Sherman vive in un luogo apparentemente deserto. Il volto segnato dalla vita, indifferente alla presenza dell’occhio indiscreto della camera, l’uomo esegue con calma e precisione quasi rituale gesti che sembrano essere la sua routine di eremita: di giorno la raccolta di molluschi, di notte il lavoro in una misteriosa industria ittica dove si muove in assoluta solitudine. Un racconto senza storia, una fantasmagoria visiva senza spettacolo, il diario d’un’osservazione orientata dalla meraviglia.
Sherman lives in a seemingly desert place. His face carries the signs of life. This man performs with an almost ritual calm and precision all the action that make up his hermit life in front of the camera, an indiscreet eye: shellfish harvesting by day and the work in a mysterious fish processing plant by night, in which Sherman moves in absolute solitude. A story-less tale, a visual phantasmagoria without any show, a diary of a marvel-oriented observation.
