Abstract: Un capitolo importante della recente storia europea: il processo a Radovan Karadzic, incriminato per crimini di guerra dal Tribunale Penale Internazionale per la ex Yugoslavia dell’Aja. La regista ricostruisce gli atti attraverso documenti sconcertanti (foto, video, testimonianze) e rivela, attraverso la tecnica del frottage, compiuto nelle aule del tribunale, la zona d’ombra che si nasconde tra i “fatti” di guerra, le prove materiali, le immagini attraverso le quali è rappresentata e le loro successive interpretazioni.
An important chapter in recent European history: the trial of Radovan Karadzic, indicted for war crimes by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague. The film reconstructs the shocking acts through documents (photos, videos, testimonials) and reveals, through the technique of frottage, made in the courtrooms, the gray area that lies between the “facts” of war, testing materials, the images through which war is represented and their subsequent interpretations.
