Abstract: Un volto di donna (l’attrice spagnola Bárbara Lennie) ripreso in giorni diversi, in momenti diversi dell’anno. Ride, č seria, guarda in macchina oppure fuori dalla finestra, č in casa oppure esce. Le immagini si moltiplicano. Ma si tratta della stessa donna? Sembra lo stesso volto, ma si puň essere la stessa persona in inquadrature diverse? In due immagini diverse? Sottoposti a sguardi sempre diversi? In quale luogo siamo, in quale tempo? In quale anno? Il film riflette sul mistero di un corpo filmato, sulla possibilitŕ che il cinema ha, attraverso il montaggio, attraverso la luce, attraverso la voce, di modificare il tempo e lo spazio reali che attraversa, non per mentire, ma per mostrarne il mistero e la complessitŕ. “A volte, il modo migliore di incontrare una persona č quella di viaggiare nel futuro su un treno fatto di vicinanze. Nel 2012 finirŕ il mondo o il nostro amore?” (I. Lacuesta).
The face of a woman (Spanish actress Bárbara Lennie) is filmed in different days, at different moments of the year. The woman laughs, is serious, looks in camera or out of the window; she is outside. The images multiply. But – is it the same woman? It looks like the same face, but can you be the same person in different shots? In two different images? Submitted to ever-different gazes? In which place are we? Which time? Which year is that? A film reflecting on the mystery of the body filmed, and on cinema’s potential to modify real time and space once it crosses them by means of the editing, the lighting, or the voice – not in order to lie, but to expose their mystery and complexity. “At times, the best way to meet a specific person is to travel in the future on a train made of proximities. Will the world or our love end in 2012?” (I. Lacuesta).
