Abstract: Il 3 giugno 1991, Marguerite Duras mi ha donato la sua ultima opera pubblicata, “L'amante della Cina del Nord” con il suo autografo. Nella dedica ha scritto: "Per la mia amica Dominique Auvray, in ricordo di una meraviglia delle meraviglie: un passato ancora recente, quando lavoravamo insieme a fare cinema". Questo è un ritratto di lei come era allegra e seria, autentica e provocatoria, premurosa e categorica, ma prima di tutto giovane e libera (D. Auvray).
On June 3, 1991, Marguerite Duras gave me her last published work, “The North China Lover”, autographed for the first time. She wrote: “For my friend Dominique Auvray, in memory of a wonder of wonders: a still recent past, when we worked together in the cinema”. This is a portrait of her as she was cheerful and serious, authentic and provocative, considerate and categorical, but first and foremost young and free (D. Auvray).
