Abstract: "Caro Alain, sono arrivato a Firenze. Girerò questo film su di te, senza di te, e forse è meglio così. A Firenze, le pareti delle chiese hanno familiarità con la rinuncia, l’ascetismo e la santità. Qui terrò una sorta di diario prendendo esempio da te (Alain Cavalier), che lo sai fare così bene. In una parola, ti ammirerò da lontano. E chi lo sa? Avrò una risposta? Solo per me? Fatta di parole e immagini?" [V. Dieutre].
