Abstract: “Child of the commune” è un film documentario della regista Maroesja Perizonius sulle sua infanzia trascorsa nel movimento del guru indiano Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. All'età di sei anni, Maroesja ha seguito l'esempio di sua madre ed è diventata seguace di Bhagwan. Da quel momento ha preso il nome indiano di Ma Prem Chandra ('Luna dell'amore'), ha indossato un filo di perline e si è vestita di rosso. Sette anni dopo, sua madre decise di vendere la casa e le sue cose e di trasferirsi con Maroesja nella comune che Bhagwan aveva aperto ad Amsterdam, dove vivevano 240 seguaci. Qualche tempo dopo, Maroesja fu separata da sua madre. Fu mandata in una comune per bambini in Inghilterra.
“Child of the commune” is a documentary film of director Maroesja Perizonius about her personal experiences as a child in the movement of the Indian guru, Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. As a six-year old girl, Maroesja followed her mother’s example and became a follower of Bhagwan. From that moment on, she had the Indian name, Ma Prem Chandra (‘Moon of Love’), she wore a string of beads and dressed in red. Seven years later, her mother decided to sell her house and her belongings and move with Maroesja to the Amsterdam Bhagwan commune, where 240 followers lived. Some time later, Maroesja was separated from her mother. She went to a children’s commune in England.
