Abstract: Nel suo documentario “Kulturpark - How the West took away the west from the east”, Immanuel Weinland ricostruisce il boom del più grande parco di divertimenti della RDT e il suo fallimento, avvenuto quindici anni dopo la caduta del muro. L'unico parco per il tempo libero nella parte orientale di Berlino è stato una zona libera al di fuori della vita quotidiana, attrazione per milioni di visitatori, rifugio per cani sciolti. Dopo la caduta del muro è stato mandato in rovina da un investitore dubbioso. La discussione sulla storia del parco e la riflessione di tutte le parti si propone come un inventario degli umori del popolo tedesco prima della riunificazione e 15 anni dopo.
In his documentary “Kulturpark - How the West took away the west from the east” Immanuel Weinland reconstructs the boom of the biggest leisure park of the GDR and its final breakup fifteen years after the wall came down. The unique leisure park in the eastern part of Berlin has been a free zone apart from everyday life, attraction for millions of visitors, hideaway for mavericks. After the wall came down it was driven into ruin by a dubious investor. The discussion about the history of the park and the reflection of all parties is considered as an inventory control of German moods before reunification and 15 years after.
