Abstract: Un viaggio nel cuore. Un viaggio poetico, commovente, crudele, ironico, a volte cinico. Un viaggio che ci porta nel cuore della cineasta, nei suoi dolori, nelle sue gioie, nei suoi problemi medici, tra cui l’applicazione di un pacemaker. Le dà una scusa per osservare da vicino altri cuori: il Sacro Cuore di Gesù, il piccolo cuore mummificato di Luigi XVII e le sue strane peregrinazioni, il cuore di un trapiantato. Come si fa a vivere con il cuore di un altro? Cuori di zucchero, cuori d'oro nel Museo del Cuore di Bruxelles. Cuori di pollo, di manzo e di quaglia dal macellaio. E il parallelo tra il cuore di un chirurgo che trapianta cuori e quello di un giardiniere che trapianta alberi. Il viaggio si conclude nel Palazzo di Ghiaccio con una poesia che ci invita a donare il nostro cuore.
A trip through the heart. A poetic, moving, cruel, ironic, at times cynical trip. A trip that takes us deep into the heart of the film maker, into her aches, her joys, her medical problems, among them the placing of a pacemaker. It gives her an excuse to take a closer look at other hearts: the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the small mummified heart of Louis XVII and its weird wanderings, the heart of a transplantee. How does one live with someone else’s heart? Hearts of sugar, hearts of gold in the Brussel’s Heart Museum. Chicken, beef, and quail hearts at the butcher’s. And the parallel between the heart of a surgeon who grafts hearts and that of a gardener who grafts trees. The trip ends in the Ice Palace with a poem enjoining us to donate our hearts.
