Abstract: Alexander Oboladze, di nazionalità georgiana, è, secondo la definizione di Stonys, un apostolo delle rovine. Trascorre tutto il suo tempo per le vie strette di Vilnius a cercare cose che altri hanno buttato via. La sua vita non muta a secondo delle stagioni, neppure la neve lo allontana da questa sua occupazione. Ci racconta la sua vita, del suo modo di vedere il mondo e di condurre questa strana vita randagia. “Ho conosciuto Alexander Oboladze durante le riprese di “Trys dienos” di Sarūnas Bartas. Abbiamo vissuto nella stessa stanza d'albergo. Strana la situazione in cui un uomo, benché in esilio dalla sua patria, non ha perso né la sua mentalità né la sua lingua. Proprio come un albero esotico cresciuto in Lituania. Si aggirava nella vecchia città di Vilnius di cui conosceva ogni angolo come nessun'altro. Cercava e trovava il tempo perduto, cose lasciate da altri con cui creava il suo mondo unico” (A. Stonys).
Alexander Oboladze, born in Georgia, is, as Stonys calls him, an apostle of the ruins. He spends all his time in the streets of Vilnius looking for things others throw away. His life does not change with the seasons, not even the snow deters him from his work. He speaks of his life, his way of seeing the world and pursuing this strange, stray lifestyle. “I met Alexander Oboladze while shooting Sarūnas Bartas'“Trys dienos”. We roomed together in the hotel. I find it strange how a man, exiled from his country, hasn't lost his mind, or his language. Just like an exotic tree growing in Lithuania. He wandered around the old city of Vilnius knowing every corner better than anyone else. He looked for and found lost time, things left by other men with which to create his unique world” (A. Stonys).
