Abstract: Il documentario usa la tecnica dell'animazione per raccontare la storia della vita dei nonni della regista, esiliati in Siberia dai sovietici nel 1948. Quel duro periodo della storia lituana è narrato in modo personale, come una fiaba. Il narratore è una bambina che vede gli eventi dal suo punto di vista infantile. La base visiva del film consiste in fotografie di famiglia ancora esistenti, in materiali d'archivio e in svariati inserti d'animazione.
A documentary that uses animation to tell a life story of the director's grandparents who were exiled to Siberia by Soviets in 1948. The severe period of Lithuanian history is being told in a personal way, in the genre of a fairytale. The story teller is a little girl, who sees the events in her own child way. The visual basis of the film consists of extant family photographs together with the national archive material and animation inserts.
