Abstract: Ogni giorno un uomo consegna la biancheria in un ospedale per bambini e, ogni giorno, si trova di fronte alla vita e alla morte. Lo sguardo della regista è sempre attento a mettere in evidenza i punti più insoliti della realtà, esaltando i momenti vuoti, i silenzi, i gesti che, per la loro quotidianità, solitamente sfuggono. “Volevo girare un film sulla vita, così ho avuto bisogno di mostrare la morte, ma non volevo mostrare uomini morti. Per questo siamo andati in un ospedale per bambini e ci siamo detti che stavamo varcando la soglia di quell'edificio per mostrare il volto della sofferenza. È possibile provare ogni cosa anche rimanendone al di fuori” (L. Pakalnina).
Every day a man drops off the laundry at a children's hospital, and every day he comes face to face with life and death. The director's gaze is, as always, careful to highlight the more unusual points of reality, exalting the empty moments, silences, gestures that, for their very ordinariness, usually escape our attention. “I wanted to make a film about life, so I had to show death, but I didn't want to film dead people. So we went to a children's hospital, saying to ourselves that we were crossing the threshold of that building to show the face of suffering. It's possible to feel anything even staying outside of it” (L. Pakalnina).
