Abstract: Il tempo e lo spazio assumono un diverso significato nei bagni termali dove č ambientato questo documentario. La gente gira nuda per i corridoi e dimentica tutte le regole della societŕ. Osservano strani rituali, si sottomettono volontariamente alle torture per lavare via dai loro corpi la polvere delle loro vite. Un film senza dialoghi che osserva gli accadimenti con sguardo pieno di stupore. “Durante le riprese di Flying Over the Blue Field abbiamo vissuto in un hotel termale. Cosě ho iniziato ad osservare i trattamenti cui ci si poteva sottoporre in questo luogo. Le persone venivano immerse in bagni di acqua minerale frizzante e fango, camminavano in cerchio cantando, oppure se ne stavano sotto getti di vapore. Tutto questo sembrava un rituale sacro che liberava i corpi dalle ferite dell'esistenza. Erano nudi, come fossero appena nati, senza alcun segno di vita sociale” (A. Stonys).
Time and space take on different meaning in the thermal baths where this documentary is set. Here, the people walk around naked in the halls and forget the rules of society. They observe strange rituals, and voluntarily submit to tortures in order to wash the dust of life off their bodies. A film without dialogue that observes the goings on with complete astonishment. “While shooting Flying Over the Blue Field we lived in Birtonas sanatorium hotel. I was watching treatment procedures. People were plunging into bubbles, mud and mineral water baths. They were going circles singing, standing under cold water spouts. All this seemed like a sacred ritual, that freed them from scurf of life. They were naked, like just born, without any signs of standing in society” (A. Stonys).
