Abstract: "Buried" usa un punto di vista oggettivo e fattuale per rivisitare, con l'intento di proporre verità e approfondimento, quel pezzo di storia sepolto che è il grande terremoto di Tangshan, avvenuto nel 1976. Il film si propone di recuperare la verità sconosciuta, attraverso le testimonianza dei sopravvissuti e stimando un numero di decessi molto superiore alle cifre ufficiali. Si ripercorre il processo di previsione e di non divulgazione del terremoto di Tangshan, descrivendo il disinteresse da parte del governo che porterà alla tragedia di Wenchuan, avvenuta nel 2008, vera e propria reminiscenza del terremoto di Tangshan.
"Buried" uses an objective and factual point of view to revisit the buried piece of history that is the great Tangshan earthquake of 1976, with the intention of offering truth and insight. The film aims to recover the unknown truth, through the accounts of survivors and estimating a number of deaths far higher than the official figures. It traces the process of prediction and non-disclosure of the Tangshan earthquake, describing the government's lack of interest that led to the Wenchuan tragedy in 2008, a real reminder of the Tangshan earthquake.
