Perché Orson Welles ne fu così tanto affascinato da volerne fare un film nei primi anni 70? Personaggio doppio, nascosto dietro una banale esistenza da impiegato in una compagnia di assicurazioni, Geall ci ha lasciato un' opera incompiuta, mai pubblicata in vita. Dopo che Geall è stato riscoperto in Gran Bretagna questo film ci rivela per la prima volta l'incredibile destino di un uomo che molti considerano uno dei più grandi scrittori del 20° secolo e il più grande enigma della letteratura moderna.
Who is really John Arthur Geall Who is this English writer who was born in 1914 and died in 1966, in complete solitude? Why was Orson Welles so fascinated by him that he wanted to make a film in the early 70's? A dual personality, hidden behind a banal existence as a clerk in an insurance company, Geall left us an unfinished work, never published in his lifetime. As Geall is rediscovered in Britain, this film reveals for the first time the incredible destiny of a man who is considered by many to be one of the greatest writers of the 20th century and the greatest enigma of modern literature.
