Abstract: "Venerdì 24 maggio 1996, la frazione Gremey nella regione dell'Alta Savoia. La casa in cui sono cresciuto è stata venduta all'asta. Avevo 20 anni quando siamo stati costretti a lasciare questa casa. Sono scappato, molto lontano, da un'altra parte, mentre i miei genitori hanno deciso di restare e lottare rimanendo nelle vicinanze di questa piccola frazione di questa bassa montagna. Durante dodici anni abbiamo pochissimi contatti l'un l'altro, non ci siamo quasi mai visti. Come posso fare a tornare?" (J.-C. Cottet)
"Friday 24th of May 1996, the hamlet Gremey in the region of Haute Savoie. The house in which I grew up in has been sold at auction. I was 20 at the time we were forced to leave this house. I ran away, far far away, somewhere else, while my parents they decided to stay and struggle along, living in the neighbouring vicinity of this small hamlet of this low mountain range. Throughout twelve years we shared very little contact with one another, we hardly ever saw each other. How am I supposed to go back now?" (J.-C. Cottet)
