Abstract: "Shortcut to Justice" racconta delle coraggiose "donne per la giustizia" della tentacolare città di Vadodara, nel nord-ovest dell'India, vicino al confine con il Pakistan. Lottano contro l'ingiustizia e la violenza, di cui molte donne sono vittime. Con prontezza di spirito e creatività, rimettono al loro posto i mariti che picchiano e le suocere litigiose. La polizia e la giustizia non danno quasi nessun riparo o aiuto. Per questo hanno fondato loro stesse un tribunale e dispensano giustizia - sotto un albero, in un luogo polveroso ai margini del quartiere povero di Kalyan Nagar.
"Shortcut to Justice" tells about the courageous "Women for Justice" from the sprawling city Vadodara, in the northwest of India, close to the Pakistan border. They fight against injustice and violence, from which many women there are suffering. With quick-wittedness and creativity, they put beating husbands and quarrelsome mother-in-laws in their place. Police and Justice hardly give any shelter or aid. That´s why they founded a court themselves and dispense justice - under a tree, on a dusty place on the edge of the poor quarter Kalyan Nagar.
