Abstract: Kareem, Axelle, Hugo, Victor e gli altri. Bambini malati di cancro, che Dominique Henry e Vincent Detours hanno seguito per un anno e mezzo all'ospedale infantile Queen Fabiola di Bruxelles. Hanno scoperto un mondo che ha a che fare con la morte e l'angoscia, ma che è comunque profondamente umano, e a volte... gioioso. "I'll Get Better Tomorrow" racconta il coraggio dei bambini e delle loro famiglie, la dedizione del personale medico e mette in evidenza la malattia e le sue possibili cure. Questo documentario evita la trappola della facile emozione trasmettendo un denso contenuto informativo e lasciando che le situazioni parlino da sole piuttosto che metterle in scena.
Kareem, Axelle, Hugo, Victor and others. Children with cancer, whom Dominique Henry and Vincent Detours looked after for a year and a half at the Queen Fabiola children's hospital in Brussels. They discovered a world that deals with death and anguish, but is nevertheless profoundly human, and sometimes... joyful. "I'll Get Better Tomorrow" tells of the courage of the children and their families, the dedication of the medical staff and highlights the disease and its possible cures. This documentary avoids the trap of easy emotion by conveying dense information content and letting situations speak for themselves rather than staging them.
