Abstract: Nel quartiere di Chamberí, nel centro di Madrid, un gruppo di negozianti e artigiani tradizionali cerca di sopravvivere alla concorrenza dei nuovi negozi e ai cambiamenti nelle abitudini dei consumatori. Nelle loro botteghe il tempo si è fermato. Mentre si avvicinano alla fine della loro vita riflettono sul passato e sul perché molti di loro sono destinati a scomparire.
In the district of Chamberí, in the centre of Madrid, a group of traditional shopkeepers and craftsmen try to survive competition from new shops and changes in consumer habits. In their shops, time has stopped. As they approach the end of their lives, they reflect on the past and why many of them are destined to disappear.
