Abstract: Una poesia-testamento di Pinuccio Sciola (1942- 2016) introduce un momento epico ed onirico. Le immagini introduttive mostrano lo scultore mentre cammina sui macigni delle campagne di Mogoro, in sottofondo si sente il suono delle sue pietre sonore. Le sue mani sollevano le grandi sculture, le enormi pietre che volano nel cielo e si appoggiano sul camion. Seguono immagini che mostrano l’intensa fatica che avvolge ogni singola creazione, il lavorio delle gru, dei camion che caricano e scaricano, del disco diamantato che fende la pietra. Poi, di nuovo, il trasporto verso il grande laboratorio. Delle brevissime sequenze mostrano lo scultore che parla dei legami tra le sue opere e le varie civiltà: dalla Peruviana a quella Nuragica, e qui la pietra inizia a suonare, a danzare, a mostrare la realtà che la attraversa, a entrare in simbiosi con gli elementi: le fiamme si coalizzano in armonia con le sculture, ricreando attimi di impulsi primordiali; la luce fende i tagli di pietra e crea meravigliose trasparenze; l’acqua scivola sulle sculture e produce suoni ed immagini di templi e fiumi in piena, le pietre producono suoni riconducibili ad ere lontanissime e infine, l’interno delle pietre conduce verso il silenzio del mondo.
A poem-testament by Pinuccio Sciola (1942-2016) introduces an epic and oneiric moment. The introductory images show the sculptor walking on the boulders of the Mogoro countryside, in the background we hear the sound of his sound stones. His hands lift the large sculptures, the enormous stones flying into the sky and resting on the truck. This is followed by images showing the intense labour that surrounds each creation, the work of the cranes, the trucks loading and unloading, the diamond disc that cleaves the stone. Then, again, the transport to the large workshop. Very short sequences show the sculptor talking about the links between his works and the various civilisations, from the Peruvian to the Nuragic, and here the stone begins to play, to dance, to show the reality that passes through it, to enter into symbiosis with the elements: the flames coalesce in harmony with the sculptures, recreating moments of primordial impulses; light cuts through the stone and creates wonderful transparencies; water slides over the sculptures and produces sounds and images of temples and rivers in flood; the stones produce sounds that can be traced back to distant eras; and finally, the inside of the stones leads towards the silence of the world.
