Abstract: Dopo l'invasione dell'Iraq, tutti si aspettavano i bombardamenti da parte delle truppe americane, ma nessuno pensava che la missione di pace dell'ONU sarebbe diventata obiettivo dei terroristi. Non erano forse le stesse persone che cercavano di restituire la sovranità dell'Iraq al popolo? È stato un altro esempio del fatto che i terroristi ignorano la loro storia? Questo film esamina gli eventi nel corso del loro svolgimento e cerca di far luce sul contesto di questo attacco a sorpresa ad una delle più difficili missioni delle Nazioni Unite. Riferisce anche sullo stato delle indagini sull'omicidio e, infine, ci invita a riflettere sul ruolo che l'ONU riesce a svolgere nella politica mondiale di oggi.
After the invasion of Iraq, everybody had been expecting bombings of Américan Army, but nobody thought that the peace-seeking UN mission would be the target of terrorists. Were they not the very people attempting to return the sovereignty of Iraq to its People? Was this another example of the fact that terrorists ignore their own history? This film looks at the events as they unfold, and attempts to shed light on the context of this surprise attack on one of the more difficult United Nations missions. It also reports on the status of the murder investigation, and finally, invites us to reflect upon the role the UN can play in today's world politics.
