Abstract: "Nel 2007, durante un viaggio nell'Europa dell'Est, mi sono fermato in Romania. Da allora ci sono tornato regolarmente. Avevo incontrato Ciprian. Era emigrato in Belgio prima che il suo paese entrasse nell'Unione Europea. Per la prima volta dopo questo importante cambiamento, abbiamo ripreso la strada per la Romania per visitare la sua famiglia. Sulla strada abbiamo incontrato degli autostoppisti. Ci hanno raccontato la loro Romania, ma anche la loro immagine dell'Occidente. In questo diario filmato, cerco di interrogare me stessa, loro e noi sul futuro delle nostre società e sul possibile incontro tra Est e Ovest" (Chloé Salembier)
"In 2007, during a trip to Eastern Europe, I stopped in Romania. Since then I have returned regularly. I had met Ciprian. He had immigrated to Belgium before his country entered the European Union. For the first time since this important change, we retook the road to Romania to visit his family. On the way we met hitchhikers. They told us about their Romania, but also of their image of the West.
