Abstract: "Eccomi qui. Mi chiamo Fred. Ho 34 anni e sono single. Qualche tempo fa ho subito un grosso colpo e solo ora sto iniziando a superarlo. Dieci anni fa ero un giocatore di basket. La vita non è complicata per un giocatore di basket: fai più punti possibili. Quando hai 34 anni, segni meno punti... e la vita, beh... la vita è leggermente più complicata. Comunque, stavo dicendo che sono egoista, cioè single... e libero. Non devo niente a nessuno. Faccio quello che voglio, comunque lo voglio. C'è solo un problema... il problema di tutti i single: le domeniche. Quelle famose domeniche in cui ci si annoia a morte... e si ha tutto il tempo del mondo per rimuginare. Perché sono solo? Sarà sempre così? Per fortuna ci sono molti altri single della mia età... " (F. Baillif)
Here I am. My name’s Fred. I’m 34 years old and I am single. Some time ago, I suffered a big blow and I’m just about starting to get over it now. Ten years ago, I was a basketball player. Life isn’t complicated for a basketball player: you score as many points as possible. When you are 34, you score fewer points… and life, well… life is slightly more complicated. Anyway, I was saying that I am egoistic, I mean single... and free. I owe nothing to anybody. I do whatever I want However I want. There's just one problem… the problem of all singles: Sundays... Those famous Sundays when you’re bored stiff… and have all the time in the world to mull things over. Why am I all alone? Will it always be like this? Fortunately there are lots of other singles my age…Fred.
