Abstract: Danielle, ebrea cresciuta come musulmana in Marocco, lotta per il diritto di allevare suo figlio. Nove anni dopo essere stata costretta a lasciarlo, torna in Marocco per lottare per ottenere la sua custodia. Si trasferisce, in stato di apprensione per l'incontro con la sua famiglia musulmana e per le difficoltà che si aspetta di affrontare a causa della legge locale. Con sua sorpresa scopre che le vere difficoltà vengono invece dalla società in cui vive, quella ebraica.
Danielle, a Jew who grew up as a Muslim in Morocco, struggles for the right to bring up her son. Nine years after she was forced to leave him, she returns to Morocco to fight for custody. She sets off, apprehensive about the meeting with her Muslim family, and the difficulties she expects to face due to local law. To her surprise, she finds that the real difficulties come from the society in which she lives, the Jewish one.
