Abstract: "Shooting locations"è una ricerca sui confini tra la guerra, il gioco della guerra, i giochi di guerra e la scomparsa della separazione tra realtà e finzione. La vista idilliaca di una villa del XIX secolo è disturbata da strani suoni di guerra che si rivelano essere una registrazione di uno sport all'aperto chiamato Airsoft. Pensieri slle qualità di buon cecchino sono formulati da un ragazzo di circa dieci anni. Lentamente si scopre che sta parlando di un videogioco. Le sue spiegazioni sono accompagnate dall'immagine di un grattacielo assolato. Immagini di tipiche case di città moderne sono combinate con reali rumori di combattimento avvenuti in Afghanistan e registrati accidentalmente dal telefono cellulare di un soldato. L'ultima frase che sentiamo è: "Sta arrivando, sta arrivando!".
"Shooting locations" is an exploration of the boundaries between war, war games and the disappearance of the separation between reality and fiction. The idyllic view of a 19th century mansion is disturbed by strange war sounds that turn out to be a recording of an outdoor sport called airsoft. Thoughts about the qualities of a good sniper are formulated by a boy of about ten. Slowly it turns out that he is talking about a video game. His explanations are accompanied by a picture of a sunny skyscraper. Images of typical modern city houses are combined with real sounds of combat in Afghanistan accidentally recorded by a soldier's mobile phone. The last sentence we hear is: 'It's coming, it's coming!'.
