Abstract: "Un petit coin de paradis" racconta la rinascita di Ossona, in Val d'Hérens, con l'avvio di un progetto pilota che mira a farne un sito agro-turistico. La camera di Jacqueline Veuve segue la riabilitazione di questa zona, classificata come zona di sviluppo sostenibile a lungo termine e il lavoro dei suoi insoliti operai: adolescenti disadattati provenienti da ambienti molto diversi. Questi giovani frequentano un istituto che li sorveglia mentre restaurano questo borgo trascurato, aiutati nel loro compito da ex abitanti del luogo tra i 75 e i 90 anni. Soprattutto, il film descrive una meravigliosa avventura umana e l'incontro, a volte irto di insidie, di individui con esperienze di vita molto diverse.
"Un petit coin de paradis" relates the renaissance of Ossona in the Val d’Hérens, when a pilot project – aiming to make it an agro-tourist site – is initiated. Jacqueline Veuve’s camera follows the rehabilitation of this area, classified as a sustainable long-term development zone, as well as the work of its unusual «labourers»: maladjusted adolescents from very different backgrounds. These young people attend an institution that supervises them as they restore this neglected hamlet, helped in their task by former local inhabitants who range between 75 and 90 years of age. Above all, the film depicts a wonderful human adventure and the encounter, sometimes fraught with pitfalls, of individuals with very different life experiences.
