Abstract: "Definire Stefano Bollani il pianista Jazz italiano più conosciuto al mondo ed il musicista più premiato per virtuosismo e sensibilità è limitare lo sguardo al centro dell'inquadratura, facile da seguire, ma banalmente esplicativa, quando di quinta scorre tutto un mondo di esperienze e collaborazioni, mondo che Stefano Bollani esplora con curiosità indomita. Oltre al grande talento di esecutore, il personaggio interessa per come avvicina il pubblico, per come sa essere entertainer divertente e compositore raffinato, oltre alle sue competenze e conoscenze straordinarie della musica in genere. Proprio per questi motivi, penso che il mio documentario sia una finestra aperta sulla vita di un performer italiano tra i più importanti ed originali nel mondo della musica contemporanea e rappresenti, in minima parte, l'espressione di grande dedizione e amore che Stefano Bollani ha per il suo mestiere di artista". In addition to his great talent as a performer, the character is interesting for the way he brings the audience closer, for how he knows how to be a wonderful entertainer and a refined composer, as well as for his extraordinary skills and knowledge of music in general. Precisely for these reasons, I think that my documentary is an open window on the life of one of the most important and original Italian performers in the world of contemporary music and represents, in a small way, the expression of great dedication and love that Stefano Bollani has for his profession as an artist".
