Abstract: Trent'anni dopo la morte del tenente generale David Elazar, suo figlio Yair intraprende un viaggio sulle sue orme. Vuole penetrare il mito che avvolge la memoria del padre, smettere di vivere nella sua ombra e superare la rabbia nei suoi confronti, per aver sempre messo l'esercito al primo posto. Man mano che il viaggio procede, Yair si rende conto che suo padre non distingueva il privato dal pubblico: l'esercito era la sua vita. Un percorso di ascesa fulminea che ebbe termine con una dolorosa caduta. Dopo aver trascorso mesi 'con suo padre' in sala di montaggio, Yair capisce le sue scelte, ed è finalmente in grado di dirgli addio.
Thirty years after the death of Lieutenant General David Elazar, his son Yair takes a journey in his footsteps. He wants to penetrate the myth shrouding his father's memory, to stop living in his shadow, and to overcome his anger at him, for always putting the Army first. As the journey progresses, Yair realizes that his father did not differentiate the private from the public: the military was his life. A course of meteoric ascent which ended with a painful downfall. After spending months with his father in the editing room, Yair understands his choices, and is finally able to say goodbye.
