Abstract: "La regola dell'oceano è che il pesce grande mangia il pesce piccolo. L'oceano degli affari è molto duro e difficile. Se non stai attento verrai inghiottito e affogherai! Se hai successo sarai come una vela che solca l'oceano come un veliero trionfante!". Al centro del film ci sono tre cinesi emigrati a Bucarest nei primi anni '90. La storia segue i loro percorsi attraverso la metropoli rumena e i loro collegamenti con il più grande mercato cinese d'Europa, alla periferia di Bucarest. Una serie di episodi vede protagonisti i personaggi immersi nella loro vita quotidiana e lavorativa, segnata da duri contrasti, e racconta la sensazione di sentirsi stranieri, i cambiamenti culturali, la sfida di immergersi nell'ignoto e di reinventarsi ogni giorno.
"The rule of the ocean is that the big fish eats the little fish. The ocean of business is very hard and difficult. If you are not careful you will be swallowed up and drowned! If you are successful you will be like a sail that sails across the ocean like a triumphant sailing ship!". At the centre of the film are three Chinese emigrants to Bucharest in the early 1990s. The story follows their journeys through the Romanian metropolis and their connections with the largest Chinese market in Europe, on the outskirts of Bucharest. A series of episodes features the characters immersed in their everyday and working lives, marked by harsh contrasts, and recounts the feeling of feeling foreign, the cultural changes, the challenge of immersing oneself in the unknown and reinventing oneself every day.
