Abstract: Benvenuti a bordo di Interflug, l'unica compagnia aerea dell'ex Repubblica Democratica Tedesca! Allacciate le cinture di sicurezza per questo volo turbolento attraverso le vite di un equipaggio della Germania dell'Est. Quattro hostess e un pilota ripercorrono un'epoca in cui attraversare i confini tra Est e Ovest era privilegio di pochi. Con le loro avventure occidentali e la loro prospettiva da outsider sulla vita nella DDR, hanno vissuto la caduta del muro di Berlino in modo diverso dagli altri: con un brusco atterraggio quando l'Interflug venne chiusa nel 1991, ma anche come l'inizio di una vita nuova. Come se la sono cavata? Dove si trovano oggi? Rivivendo le turbolenze della storia tedesca, il film naviga attraverso le difficoltā di vivere una vita autonoma prima e dopo la caduta del muro di Berlino.
Welcome aboard Interflug, the only airline in the former German Democratic Republic! Fasten your seat belts for this turbulent flight through the lives of an East German crew. Four stewardesses and a pilot retrace an era when crossing the borders between East and West was the privilege of few. With their Western adventures and outsider's perspective on life in the GDR, they experienced the fall of the Berlin Wall differently from the rest: with a hard landing when the Interflug was closed in 1991, but also as the start of a new life. How did they cope? Where are they today? Reliving the turbulence of German history, the film navigates through the difficulties of living an independent life before and after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
