Abstract: Durante la sua passeggiata quotidiana, Ladan gira la videocamera verso se stessa per dirci perché ama l'Islam. Allo stesso tempo Nima esce da casa sua e punta la videocamera verso il suo albero preferito, cresciuto in mezzo alla strada. Guidando verso il lavoro, Habib prende la videocamera per riprendere un enorme ritratto di un martire su un muro e ci spiega che quello era il suo amico Hamid. Sani si tinge i capelli di biondo davanti allo specchio e si lamenta che in Iran non si può andare da nessuna parte senza trucco. Con la videocamera in mano, quattro abitanti di Teheran ci accompagnano attraverso la loro giornata, i loro ricordi e i loro pensieri. Questi autoritratti ci parlano di amore, guerra e perdita, ma anche di buon cibo, cattivi barbieri e di Jane Austen.
During her daily walk, Ladan turns the camera towards herself to tell us why she loves Islam. At the same time, Nima comes out of her house and points the camera at her favourite tree, which has grown in the middle of the street. Driving to work, Habib takes the camera to film a huge portrait of a martyr on a wall and explains that this was his friend Hamid. Sani dyes her hair blond in front of the mirror and complains that you can't go anywhere in Iran without make-up. With camera in hand, four inhabitants of Tehran take us through their day, their memories and their thoughts. These self-portraits tell us about love, war and loss, but also about good food, bad barbers and Jane Austen.
