Abstract: Un sentiero nel cuore delle Ande, a più di 3.000 metri di altezza: Quapac Nan, vale a dire la "strada maestra"è una rete di 13.000 km di sentieri che attraversa Ecuador, Perù e Bolivia, ovvero l'antico Impero Inca. Il Quapac Nan è il simbolo di un'identità comune che alimenta i sogni degli abitanti dei paesi andini oggi: quello della rinascita di un'eredità culturale unica dopo secoli di dominazione. Lontano dai cliché del turismo di massa, il film racconta vite, speranze e sogni, testimoniando un'immagine diversa delle Ande.
A trail in the heart of the Andes, at more than 3,000 metres above sea level: Quapac Nan, or the 'main road', is a network of 13,000 km of trails that crosses Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia, the ancient Inca Empire. The Quapac Nan is the symbol of a common identity that fuels the dreams of the inhabitants of the Andean countries today: that of the rebirth of a unique cultural heritage after centuries of domination. Far from the clichés of mass tourism, the film recounts lives, hopes and dreams, bearing witness to a different image of the Andes.
