The history of weaving is a long journey whose beginning is lost in the mists of time. The film reconstructs the journey of the textile industry in north-west Milan from the first half of the last century to the present day, an economic and social story that began with silkworm breeding and spinning mills and ended with the large companies of the second half of the 20th century. The voices of the protagonists, historical reconstructions and expert analyses alternate in a fast-paced documentary that retraces a fragment of the history of an area rich in human experiences and social implications. The objective suggested by this work is the recognition of the territory's textile vocation, a valuable challenge to rethink a new idea of microeconomics and to reinvest in a development model that puts the local production apparatus back into play.
