Abstract: Si può vivere una vita ai margini senza sentirsi marginalizzati? Lubomir Remo, detto Lubos, protagonista di questo film, vive fuori dal mondo, alla ricerca di una simbiosi con la natura. Lubos fotografa i pipistrelli e realizza con mezzi di fortuna film di fantascienza. Lubos vive «arsy-versy» (cioé: a testa in giù) per cercare di capire e farsi capire dagli animali. “La mamma anziana si preoccupa del futuro del figlio e vorrebbe raddrizzare le cose. Ma chi ha conosciuto Lubos, prima ha pensato che fosse pazzo, poi ha visto questo film e da allora si sente proprio come quel pazzo: sottosopra.” (M. Remo). "Arsy-Versy"è un inno alle passioni senza convenienze, alla ricerca, alle energie contagiose. "Arsy-Versy"è un sorriso stampato sul volto, nonostante tutto. Con tono leggero e scanzonato, il film cammina in equilibrio sul confine tra follia e creatività, raccontando un’esistenza non riconciliata ma felice, uno sguardo che trasforma in avventure eccitanti l’ovvietà del quotidiano. Con affetto fraterno Miroslav Remo, il regista del film, descrive le manie di Lubos e la visione del suo mondo capovolto.
Can you lead a life on the margins without feeling marginalized? The star of this film, Lubomir Remo, aka Lubos, lives off the grid in the hopes to commune with nature. Lubos photographs bats and with luck makes science fiction films. Lubos lives «arsy-versy» (upside down), trying to understand and make himself understood to animals. “His aging mother worries about her son’s future and would like to straighten things out. But those who knew Lubos before thought he might be crazy, and after seeing this film felt crazy themselves. Upside-down.” (M. Remo). "Arsy-Versy" is a paean to passion without convenience, to personal quest, to contagious energies. Despite everything, Arsy-Versy brings a smile to one’s face. With a light and easygoing tone, this film treads the line between insanity and creativity, depicting a life not reconciled but happy, and a viewpoint that transforms the obvious quotidian into an exciting adventure. With brotherly affection, director Miroslav Remo portrays Lubos’ manias and a vision that turns the world on its head.
