Abstract: Ezat e Bayan, due carissimi amici, stanno per fare il viaggio che hanno pianificato fin da bambini. Nati sulle alture del Golan, occupate da Israele, hanno trascorso tutta la loro vita proprio accanto al confine chiuso con la loro patria, la Siria. Arrivati a diciotto anni, hanno l'opportunitā di attraversare la terra di nessuno controllata dall'ONU per studiare a Damasco. Giovani, invincibili e siriani al cento per cento, dicono addio al loro villaggio e alle famiglie, sapendo che non potranno tornare almeno fino al prossimo anno. Come i giovani di tutto il mondo, Ezat e Bayan inseguono i loro sogni e le loro ambizioni, e a Damasco si godono la libertā. Ma la cittā si rivela anche un luogo anonimo, dove non č facile sentirsi a casa e dove bisogna stare attenti a quello che si dice. Quella che era iniziata come un'avventura verso una patria sconosciuta conduce a un dilemma che li costringerā a dover decidere da che parte stare. Un film sull'essere giovani e crescere in una parte dimenticata del conflitto mediorientale.
Ezat and Bayan, two dear friends, are about to take the trip they have been planning since they were children. Born in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, they have spent their entire lives right next to the closed border with their homeland, Syria. At the age of eighteen, they have the opportunity to cross the UN-controlled no-man's land to study in Damascus. Young, invincible and one hundred per cent Syrian, they say goodbye to their village and families, knowing they will not be able to return until at least next year. Like young people all over the world, Ezat and Bayan pursue their dreams and ambitions, and in Damascus they enjoy their freedom. But the city also proves to be an anonymous place, where it is not easy to feel at home and where you have to be careful what you say. What began as an adventure to an unknown homeland leads to a dilemma that will force them to decide which side they are on. A film about being young and growing up in a forgotten part of the Middle East conflict.
