Abstract: Nel giugno 2009, il mondo č stato scosso dalla decima elezione presidenziale in Iran. Gli eventi che hanno seguito le elezioni hanno ricevuto grande attenzione mediatica. In quelli che sono stati i giorni pių violenti dopo quelli della rivoluzione islamica, pių di 65 persone sono rimaste uccise, e il mondo ha iniziato a chiedersi cosa potesse causare una rabbia cosė diffusa nei confronti del governo. "Red, White and the Green" si svolge durante le ultime tre settimane che precedono le elezioni del 22 giugno. L'aspetto pių commovente č il grande ottimismo che la maggior parte della gente mostra verso le prossime elezioni, senza sapere il grande orrore che č dietro l'angolo. Durante il film, il regista intervista varie figure di spicco, molte delle quali sono state imprigionate dopo le elezioni. La lista include il giornalista dissidente Isa Saharkhiz e il regista perseguitato Jafar Panahi.
In June 2009, the world was shaken by Iran's tenth presidential election. The events that followed the election received a great deal of media attention. In what were the most violent days since the Islamic revolution, more than 65 people were killed, and the world began to wonder what could be causing such widespread anger towards the government. "Red, White and the Green' takes place during the last three weeks before the elections on 22 June. The most moving aspect is the great optimism that most people show towards the upcoming elections, without knowing the great horror that is around the corner. During the film, the director interviews several prominent figures, many of whom have been imprisoned since the elections. The list includes dissident journalist Isa Saharkhiz and persecuted filmmaker Jafar Panahi.
