Abstract: Documentario girato a Nsola, un villaggio Evuzok, nella giungla del Camerun. Per gli abitanti esistono due tipi di malattie: quelle con cause naturali e quelle causate dalla stregoneria. Questa č la storia di Mba Owona Pierre, il guaritore delle malattie provenienti dal mondo notturno. La danza agli spiriti č il rituale di guarigione piů importante. Seguiamo Mba Owona Pierre sia nella sua vita quotidiana che mentre pratica i suoi trattamenti o scrive i suoi pensieri sulla modernitŕ, la religione o la medicina. Iňl film compone il ritratto di un personaggio straordinario e offre un omaggio alla cultura Evuzok.
Documentary filmed in Nsola, an Evuzok village in the jungle of Cameroon. For the inhabitants there are two types of illness: those with natural causes and those caused by witchcraft. This is the story of Mba Owona Pierre, the healer of diseases from the night world. The dance to the spirits is the most important healing ritual. We follow Mba Owona Pierre both in his daily life and as he practices his treatments or writes his thoughts on modernity, religion or medicine. The film composes the portrait of an extraordinary character and offers a tribute to the Evuzok culture.
