Abstract: Il film descrive come le donne azzardino l'imprevedibile e l'inevitabile, e come bilancino le loro paure e insicurezze con la fiducia nel loro ritmo di lasciarsi andare, aspettare il momento giusto e riflettere con calma. Così il film racconta una storia in cui i momenti importanti di una gravidanza sono resi tangibili: la comunicazione tra la futura madre e la sua ostetrica, l'affetto e l'attaccamento tra marito e moglie e, infine, uno dei momenti più intensi nella vita di un essere umano che è contemporaneamente legato alla gioia, al dolore, allo stupore e alla paura: il venire al mondo.
The film describes how women risk the unpredictable and the inevitable, and how they balance their fears and insecurities with confidence in their rhythm of letting go, waiting for the right moment and reflecting calmly. Thus the film tells a story in which the important moments of a pregnancy are made tangible: the communication between the mother-to-be and her midwife, the affection and attachment between husband and wife and, finally, one of the most intense moments in the life of a human being that is simultaneously linked to joy, pain, wonder and fear: coming into the world.
