Abstract: A causa della diminuzione dei fedeli, nei Paesi Bassi sempre più chiese vengono chiuse, utilizzate per altri scopi o demolite. La regista Lieza Röben ha filmato per un anno l'affiatata comunità di Limburg, entrata in subbuglio da quando ha scoperto che anche la loro chiesa potrebbe dover chiudere i battenti. Sotto la continua minaccia di chiusura, la piccola comunità di fedeli praticanti cerca di mantenere vive le proprie tradizioni e di convincere il prete, tentato da sirene affaristiche, del valore simbolico che l'edificio possiede per l'intera comunità.
Due to a decrease in the number of worshippers, in recent years more and more churches in the Netherlands have been closed, used for other purposes or demolished. Filmmaker Lieza Röben filmed for a year the close-knit community of a church in Limburg, which is thrown into turmoil when it is discovered that their church may also have to close its doors in the future. With the constant threat of closure hanging over them, a small club of churchgoers try to maintain familiar customs, hoping to convince their priest, tempted by the value of the building to the whole community.
