Abstract: Il quindicenne olandese-marocchino Nassim è uno skater. Ora che i suoi genitori sono divorziati, Nassim vive con sua madre e le sue sorelle. Le cose non erano "belle" a casa prima che i suoi si separassero. Guardando vecchi video di famiglia, parla del suo rapporto con il padre. Nassim vorrebbe diventare un professionista dello skateboard. La scuola, un lavoro o la sua famiglia non sono in cima alla sua lista, mentre ogni giorno si esercita con dedizione a provare pericolose acrobazie con i suoi amici. "Il pattinaggio è il mio trampolino di lancio verso un altro mondo". Questo è il primo anno in cui Nassim non raggiungerà la sua famiglia in Marocco. Sta partecipando a grandi competizioni di skateboard, tra cui il Grand Prix di Rotterdam. Nassim mostra alla videocamere le sue acrobazie. Il film presenta anche alcuni notevoli video di gare e una colonna sonora che va dall'hip-hop al folk-rock di Cat Stevens.
Fifteen-year-old Dutch-Moroccan Nassim is a skater. Now that his parents are divorced, Nassim lives with his mother and sisters. Things were not "good" at home before his parents split up. Watching old family videos, he talks about his relationship with his father. Nassim would like to become a professional skateboarder. School, a job or his family are not at the top of his list, while every day he practices with dedication trying dangerous stunts with his friends. "Skating is my stepping stone to another world." This is the first year that Nassim will not be joining his family in Morocco. He is taking part in big skateboarding competitions, including the Rotterdam Grand Prix. Nassim shows his stunts to the camera. The film also features some remarkable competition videos and a soundtrack ranging from hip-hop to folk-rock by Cat Stevens.
