Abstract: Il Dr. Valentin Hampejs, sciamano, è al lavoro nelle Ande venezuelane. Durante la sua attività in vari ospedali in Germania e Austria, lo specialista neurologo e psichiatra si è confrontato con ciò che vedeva di inefficiente dei metodi convenzionali di trattamento. Cominciò a cercare un'alternativa, alla fine la trovò nello sciamanesimo sudamericano. Il film offre una visione comprensibile e affascinante del mondo intellettuale dello sciamanesimo. Mostra anche l'intensità dei rituali notturni e delle escursioni diurne.
Shaman Dr. Valentin Hampejs is at work in the Venezuelan Andes. During his work in various hospitals in Germany and Austria, the specialist neurologist and psychiatrist was confronted with what he saw as inefficient in conventional methods of treatment. He began to search for an alternative, eventually finding it in South American shamanism. The film offers an understandable and fascinating insight into the intellectual world of shamanism. It also shows the intensity of night rituals and daytime excursions.
