Abstract: L'archivio cinematografico palestinese conteneva più di 100 film che mostravano la vita quotidiana e la lotta del popolo palestinese. È andato perduto nel 1982, durante l'assedio israeliano a Beirut. Facendo esclusivamente affidamento sulla propria memoria, gli intervistati descrivono alcuni momenti chiave della storia del cinema palestinese. Le scene da loro rievocate sono state quindi disegnate e animate. Un film sulla ricostruzione e sull'idea che il cinema è un'espressione dell'identità culturale e che alimenta la memoria collettiva.
The Palestinian film archive contained more than 100 films showing the daily life and struggle of the Palestinian people. It was lost in 1982, during the Israeli siege of Beirut. Relying exclusively on their own memories, the interviewees describe some key moments in the history of Palestinian cinema. The scenes they recalled were then drawn and animated. A film about reconstruction and the idea that cinema is an expression of cultural identity and that it nourishes collective memory.
