Abstract: Questo documentario racconta la storia di tre nonne che si guadagnano da vivere come prostitute. Christel, Paula e Karolina lavorano nel loro appartamento, in un bordello o ricevono clienti in un gabinetto per dominatrici. Non sentono la necessità di giustificare quello che fanno, né fanno vanto della loro professione. Le loro personalità sfaccettate rendono chiaro quanto sia diverso il modo in cui ciascuna di loro svolge il proprio mestiere, e cosa le ha orientate in quelle scelta. Il film fornisce una visione delle vite di Christel, Paula e Karolina e la loro routine quotidiani che appare sorprendentemente borghese. Un film sulle emozioni, in una professione che richiede di nascondere le proprie emozioni sotto una facciata di trucco e frasi ben studiate.
This documentary tells the story of three grandmothers who earn their living as prostitutes. Christel, Paula and Karolina work in their flat, in a brothel or receive clients in a dominatrix's cabinet.They do not feel the need to justify what they do, nor do they boast about their profession. Their multifaceted personalities make it clear how different each of them carries out their profession, and what has guided them in their choices. The film provides an insight into the lives of Christel, Paula and Karolina and their daily routines that seems surprisingly bourgeois. A film about emotions, in a profession that requires you to hide your emotions under a façade of make-up and well-thought-out phrases.and Karolina and their sometimes surprisingly middle-class routine. These women are extremely frank and open in the way they allow the viewers into their lives. Self-confident and proud, sometimes without saying a word at others loquacious, but often with plenty of humour, they tell us what being a sex worker means to them. They also tell us about how much real love – the kind that isn’t for sale – they have to give. A film about emotions, in a profession that requires you to conceal your emotions beneath a façade of makeup and well-rehearsed sentences; a film that is also about growing old.
